Presbyterian Women is a voluntary organization for women within the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
It is a national organization, elects its own national Executive Committee, and reports annually to the General Assembly.
Concern for missions has always been and continues to be central to the purpose and life of the organization. Women, through P. W., contribute to missions and study, and interpret and engage in the Mission Program. P. W. is a basic training ground for the development of women for leadership in the Church as a whole.
PURPOSE OF PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
To nurture – our faith through prayer and Bible study,
To support – the mission of the Church worldwide,
To work – for justice and peace, and
To build – an inclusive, caring community of women that
strengthens the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.,
and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
