Latah Valley Presbyterian Church
There's a valley about to peak--LATAH VALLEY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
On Sunday, December 9, at the temporary worship location of Moran Prairie Elementary School, a newly forming community of faith will gather for the very first time. The 10 a.m. service will be a pivotal milestone on a mysterious journey which will take years and generations for us to bear witness to all that God has done and will accomplish.
Latah Valley cherishes transformative, poetic conversations over and above the number of converts or members we might count upon our rolls. David Bosch, in Believing In The Future, describes the horizon like so: "The issue is not to talk more about God in a culture that has become irreligious, but how to express, ethically, the coming of God's reign, how to help people respond to the real questions of their context, how to break with the paradigm according to which religion has to do with the private sphere" (p. 35).
Given such an audacious agenda, you might explore our website for more detailed encounters with Christ and those he calls together as the Latah Valley Presbyterian Church: www.latahvalley.org. Moreover, for information pertaining to our capital campaign, Crossing The Threshold, please call Organizing Pastor Scott Kinder-Pyle (509-481-8119). Resources which are generated by this campaign will further the Spirit's work at 202 East Meadow Lane Road, Spokane, WA 99224--our current office and future site location...
