As it begins its twelfth year as our Presbytery’s most recently chartered congregation, Colbert Presbyterian, located just north of Spokane, has now firmly established its identity as “A Church In Mission” in the community.  As stewards of ten acres of land we are able to do a number of creative things: Construction and dedication of the New Hope Resource Center is our most recent missional milestone – a collaborative, ecumenical outreach ministry of a dozen area churches, serving the elderly, the uninsured and the poor in North Spokane County, while the Garden of Hope provides fresh produce seasonally to the local food banks.  Young people have always been a focal point of our mission and we now minister to children and their families through the addition of Mothers of Preschool Children and the Colbert Christian Preschool.  Festive summer concerts are hosted in an outdoor timber frame pavilion, providing an arena for the community to gather and experience hearty fellowship.  Please remember in prayer the twelve elders and six staff members who are providing spiritual discernment, missional direction and servant leadership.  The Rev. Eric Peterson is the founding pastor.
